Paddle the mangroves as the ocean meets the river
Sunset Canoe Trip on the Congo River
Overview
We pick you up by tuk-tuk at 4:30pm and head to a stretch of the Congo River where it meets the ocean. While the canoe is prepared, you can relax on the sand dunes with a drink and take in the view.
The canoe trip itself is slow and quiet, powered entirely by the captain rather than an engine, giving you a close, peaceful look at the mangroves and the river birds that live among them. The trip also supports the local community: the same team keeps the beaches clear of litter and puts proceeds toward local healthcare and education.
